Not a great first session of the year, first of all I went out a bit underpowered as the wind had dropped off a tad, then realised mast had come apart by a few inches while rigging, so that hadn't helped matters.
Rerigged and had a great couple of blasts out and some backside waveriding in amongst overhead waves. Then going out back through some big white water didn't quite get enough speed to make it over a steep wave jacking up in front of me, which pretty much ripped my sail in half and kept me under water for a little while as my harness line twisted around the harness hook.
Could have been a five star sesh but not to be.
